About Me
Isis Henderson, named after the Egyptian goddess of magic and healing, brings depth, presence, and intention to every role she embodies. She is an African-American stage and screen actress and a graduate of New York University, where she earned her BFA.
Originally from New Jersey, Isis has been acting since the age of ten. Her early career includes her first Off-Broadway performance as Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the McCarter Theatre.
At NYU, Isis received her primary training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She further honed her craft through Shakespearean study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, along with additional training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
Most recently, Isis played Helen of Troy in Cassandra, directed by Artemis Wheelock at Teatro LATEA, and appeared as a member of the Bacchae Chorus in The Bacchae for a Tisch Main Stage production at the Iris Cantor Theatre
