About Me
Isis Henderson, named after the Egyptian goddess of magic and healing, brings depth and presence to every role she embodies. She is African-American stage and screen actress who recently got her BFA at New York University. Originally from New Jersey, she has been acting since she was ten years old, with her first performance as Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the McCarter Theatre.
At NYU, her primary training has been at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. During the spring semester of her junior year, she studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where she played Antony in Julius Caesar. She also received additional training at the Lee Strasberg Institute.
Most recently, Isis appeared as part of the Chorus in The Bacchae during a Tisch Main Stage production at the Iris Cantor Theatre. She also worked on her final senior show, Salt in the Wound by Melissa Maxwell, at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
